Wow what another busy day and to think its Friday to boot! The day started off bright and early with Dan and me heading up north to take a look at some projects for his concrete construction company, which is busier than ever. Not only are we working on a Sam’s club and a 100,000 SQFT parking lot, but now we are on track to gain a project at a correctional facility. I tell you what, I don’t see how we have enough time in the day to handle everything, but we seem to manage.
But even after all the driving and arriving at the ranch at 4:30pm, we still managed to check on the deer. I tell ya, there is nothing in this world like seeing three monster bucks sprint out of the field and into the woods as you approach. It makes my trigger finger itch that for sure! That’s exactly what happened on my arrival at the ranch today when I went back to check on the feed. From the corner of my eye I caught that distinct tan flash and sure enough there were three bucks darting across the field and heading for the woods.
Man it makes blood rush and the urge for a good hunt spark up inside ya. Unfortunately though, my time at the ranch today was cut short. Still much to do before the day ends and I enjoy my weekend. But before I go there is a question I have that I’m seeking comments on.
What is the difference between Boone and Crocket scoring and Pope and Young? We had a hunter ask this today, and we would just like to see what your answer would be. Use the comment box below and let us know!
