Ohio: The Place With Big Deer

1. How many deer are in the preserve to choose from?

We have about 50-60 deer to choose from at the start of the season. This year, we have several big and old deer that must go.

2. Where are you located?

We are located about 2 hours north of Columbus, OH; about 1.5 hours south of Akron, OH.

3. Can I drive my car without 4-wheel drive?

Yes, if snow isn't too deep (normally, not more than 2" to 3").

4. Can I bring my high-powered rifle?

Yes.

5. Do I need a hunting permit?

No.

6. Do I need to wear orange?

No.

7. What if I don't get the buck I want?

If you don't get the buck you want the first day, you get the second day hunt free.

8. What amenities does the hunting lodge offer?

The hunting lodge is completely furnished for your stay.

9. How many deer will we see?

When hunting we normally see an average for 15 deer per day.

10. Do I have to sign any forms?

Yes, you will be asked  to sign a liability release form.

11. Can I bring my wife is she doesn't hunt?

Yes.

12. Can I shoot a second buck on the same day?

Yes.
