Ohio's deer farms constitute a rapidly growing agricultural sector. The State of Ohio reports there were 695 entities with permits to raise deer as of 2009. Surveys conducted for this study, moreover, indicate fully 59% of Ohio's deer farms have been created since 1999, illustrating the strength of the industry as a new and important branch of the agriculture industry.

Thursday night we arrived from South Carolina into Ohio with high hopes of shooting a 200 class buck. Unfortunately, we brought the rain and lightning we had been having in South Carolina to Ohio. When we got to the cabin at base camp, we were warmly greeted by Dan and his staff.

You draw, then press the trigger on the release. The arrow flys just under the bucks belly or harmlessly over its back. This is a scenerio that happens to every bow hunter eventually. But there are things that you can do to limit this to being the exception rather than the rule. Hunting with a properly tuned bow is one of those things!
